START KIT AND BAG DROP OFF

Make sure you are here at least 30 min prior to your start time in order to acquire your start kit. Everyone will get a red vest that needs to be on when making your way around the course as your race number is on it. You will also receive a YELLOW wristband, and this is what you fight to keep! You will also receive a second wristband that marks which distance you´re running to make it easier for our volunteers to guide you. You get to keep the vest as a reminder of the awesome race you participated in! There will be a location to drop off your bag at the start area but we take no responsibility for your valuables.

START TIME

The start list with exact start times will be available on our webpage.

RECOMMENDED CLOTHING

We recommend long socks and long tights since you will expose your ankles and legs to a lot of ropes during this race. We recommend wearing something under the race vest, e.g. a t-shirt or a long-sleeved shirt. You will be running in terrain with roots, stones and uneven ground and if it has been raining it might be slippery so we recommend that you wear running shoes for this kind of terrain.

FACILITIES

In the start area (Stenhagenskolan) you have access to showers, toilets and changing rooms. We recommend that you bring a change of clothes as there is a risk of getting muddy and wet during the competition. We will also have toilets at the finish area (where the course also passes several times during the race). We will have two water stations for race participants.

PARKING/BUSES

Unfortunately there will be no parking next to the start area this year. We recommend that you come by bike or bus. We recommend bus number 5 to “Stenhagen” from Uppsala Central station. Get off at Stenhagenskolan. Look at https://www.ul.se/en  for the time table.

If you have to take the car we recommend that you park at Ica Maxi Stenhagen and then walk to Stenhagenskolan from there, (see the added map below).

OBSTACLES AND RULES
Have a look and mentally prepare on what type of obstacles you will encounter at our webpage.

We try to apply standard survival running rules and this means that each obstacle you fail will result in a time penalty of two hours. However, you have an unlimited number of attempts at each obstacle so you will not get that time penalty until you give up without completing the obstacle. Also, this is individual running so there is no helping or getting help from others to complete the obstacles. You need to wear your race vest and wristband visible during the entire race. Some survival etiquette: If you feel uncertain of how to complete an obstacle, then please try to let faster runners pass you before you enter the obstacle. If there is a queue for an obstacle, try to communicate with each other and let faster runners pass you if possible.

NOTE: Participants running the Long Course or Elite categories will run two laps on the same loop between obstacles 25 and 34. Elite participants will complete all obstacles on the loop during both laps. Other Long Course participants will complete obstacle 25-30 on the first lap and obstacle 31-34 on the second lap. The volunteers will guide you through this.

FINISH AREA

When you have fought your way through the course and hopefully had a challenging but fun time in the forest, you will finish at our permanent training facility in Berthåga. There will thus be a bit of walking back to the starting area, see the attached map for the easiest way there.

AWARD CEREMONY

Award ceremony for the elite class preliminary at 13:00.

RESULTS

It may take some days before we publish the results since we need to compile the lists over unfinished obstacles. We ask for your patience with this.
